| 内容記述 | There are various local teas (C. sinensis) around the mountainous regions of Kyushu, Shikoku and Honshu. These are valuable genetic resources as materials for taxonomic sutdies and breeding. However, they are decreasing by the development of mountainous regions and the change to the clonal cultivars. We had collected local teas, Yamacha (C. sinesis) in Kyushu district in 1989. We collected the local teas in Kochi and Tokushima prefectures of Shikoku district in 3 places from 25 to 28, September 1995. The collecting places Niyodo village and Otoyo town of Kochi prefecture, are located near the border both of Ehime and Tokushima prefectures, and Ikeda town, Tokushima prefecture, which is located at the upper reaches of the Yoshino river (Fig. 1). The number of collected shoots and fruits of tea were 94 and 256 respectively. The shoots were sampled as one shoot per plant and the fruits were collected 3 to 5 per plant. In total 503 seeds of tea were collected (Table 1). Collected shoots were cut and nursed in the green house in September 29. Seeds were seeded into pots in the green house in December 11. | |||||||||||
