| 内容記述 | The exploration for the collection and inventory of indigenous sweet potato germplasm in Indonesia was organized by the Tropical Agriculture Research Center (TARC), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan. Jawa and Bali rank higher than other islands in Indonesia except for Irian Jaya for the observation of sweet potato cultivation and collection of sweet potato germplasm. The exploration sponsored by TARC took place in Jawa and Bali for 25 days from November 9 to December 3 in 1990 in collaboration with Indonesian researchers. The present exploration was conducted in all the areas of Jawa and Bali islands which were recommended as valuable areas for the collection of sweet potato germplasm by the Central Research Institute for Food Crops (CRIFC), Indonesia (Tables 1 and 2). A total of 217 accessions were collected as shown in Table 3. The skin color and flesh color of tuberous roots, tuberization, twining and flowering habit of the sweet potato germplasm collected in Jawa and Bali are shown in Tables 4 and 5.
