 note = {A collaborative exploration between Japan and each of the countries, Italy, France and Spain to collect grass mainly Festuca and Lolium genetic resources was conducted on islands in the Mediterranean sea from June 13 to July 22, 2000. The islands explored were Sardinia Island in Italy, Corsica Island in France and Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca Islands) in Spain. A total of 153 collection sites, (80 on Sardinia Island, 31 on Corsica Island, 20 on Mallorca Island, 15 on Ibiza Island, 7 on Menorca Island), were sampled and 252 accessions were collected for conservation and evaluation as gennplasm.},
