 note = {Exploration for Prunus tomentosa in Nagano and Kyoto prefectures were conducted in February 9th and 24th, 2000. A total of 11 samples were collected from these districts. All samples are collected from farms or research fields, because there are no wild trees of P. tomentosa in Japan. Two samples are selected as plum rootstocks in Iida city, Nagano prefecture by Mr. T. Tsukadaira, a private breeder of stone fruit. One sample has been grown in Kyoto Botanical Garden for 75 years and 8 samples were selected for peach rootstocks in Kyoto Prefectural University.},
