 note = {The exploration for collecting zoysiagrasses (Zoysia spp.) was carried out at 73 sites (locations) extending from Aomori to Kagoshima prefectures in 1991-1992, according to feasible surveys of their natural habitat. Habitat of zoysiagrasses were mainly grazing pastures and coastlines. A total of 76 vegetative clone samples were collected. With the exception of materials from Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures, samples were considered to be Japanese lawngrass (Z. japonica Steud.) by the morphological characteristics.},
