For the same vine length of 150cm, the long-internode plants received more solar radiation per plant in horizontal cultivation than in vertical cultivation, while the shortinternode plants received more solar radiation per plant in vertical cultivation. In conclusion, watermelons for vertical cultivation should have short internodes. However, we could not obtain a clear conclusion regarding the leaf shapes.\n","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"立体栽培適性を有するスイカ品種の草型を提案することを目的に, 節間長 (長節間, 短節間) と葉形 (欠刻葉, 無欠刻葉) の組合せが異なる4品種・系統を供試し, 立体栽培および地這い栽培条件下における葉位別積算受光量および個体当たりの総受光量を調査した。葉位別積算受光量に関しては, 立体栽培では, 節間の長短にかかわらず, 上位葉で最大であり, 中位葉から下位葉にかけて減少した。その減少幅は短節間区で大きかった。一方, 地這い栽培では, 中位葉から下位葉にかけても積算受光量は多かった。個体当たり総受光量は, 葉数を30枚にそろえた条件下では, 立体栽培・地這い栽培ともに, 短節間区に比べて, 長節間区で多かった。なお, 立体栽培に比べ, 地這い栽培での個体当たりの総受光量が同等からやや多くなる傾向が認められた。つる長を150cmにそろえた条件下における個体当たり総受光量は, 立体・地這い栽培ともに, 長節間区に比べて, 短節間区で顕著に多かった。なお, 立体栽培と地這い栽培を比較した場合, 長節間区では地這い栽培の方が, 逆に, 短節間区では立体栽培が, 個体当たりの総受光量が多かった。以上の結果から, 葉形に関する明瞭な結論は得られなかったものの, 限られた軒高の施設における立体栽培適性を有するスイカ品種が具備すべき特性として,
