Ninety-one regenerated plants were obtained. PCR analysis showed that 55 plants contained the 35SPstilbene synthase gene. Stilbene content of 34 transformants was measured by HPLC. The transformants contained stilbene derivative instead of resveratrol, and piceid (resveratrol-glucoside) was the candidate for the derivative. The highest content of the stilbene derivative was 19. 7μg/g (fresh weight) among the transformants.
