However, their exact role(s) is not completely understood. Recent advances in molecular techniques such as gene expressions and transgenic strategies have enabled us to initiate the study of the regulatory mechanisms controlling cellular polyamine levels and the mode of polyamine functions in plants. In this review, biosynthetic pathways of polyamines are presentated. In addition, physiological functions of polyamines in plants especially in the abiotic and biotic stress responses are described, along with a few
