It is a new hybrid cultivar from the cross between 'Kurume MP-4' and Aichi 3. 'Earl's Kagayaki' can be grown in all the Earl's-type melon production areas of Japan. Productions in suburban areas, by the farmlands for sightseeing tours, and by the farmers having fruits-stores are mostly recommended for this cultivar.
