Enhancement of freezing tolerance at the early seedling stage is necessary for sugar beet cultivation. However, little is known about physiological responses of sugar beet to low temperatures and the ability of sugar beet to acquire freezing tolerance. Cold acclimation is enhancement of freezing tolerance by exposure to low, nonfreezing temperatures. In order to investigate the physiological responses of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) seedlings at the cotyledon stage to low temperatures, we analyzed contents of soluble carbohydrates in cotyledons during incubation at low temperatures. The total amount of soluble carbohydrates remarkably increased during incubation for 7 days at 5℃ or 10℃, though only a slight increase or no increase was observed at 15℃ or 20℃. Identification of the individual components of carbohydrates revealed that the amount of maltose was two-times larger than that of sucrose in sugar beet cotyledons treated at 5℃. This finding will facilitate an understanding of the physiological response of sugar beet seedlings to a low temperature and the ability of sugar beet seedlings to acquire freezing tolerance.\n","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.24514/00001375","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"独立行政法人 農業・食品産業技術総合研究機構 北海道農業研究センター"}]},"item_10002_relation_14":{"attribute_name":"DOI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isIdenticalTo","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"10.24514/00001375","subitem_relation_type_select":"DOI"}}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1347-8117","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"松平, 洋明"},{"creatorName":"マツヒラ, ヒロアキ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"MATSUHIRA, Hiroaki","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"1242","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"},{"nameIdentifier":"90549247","nameIdentifierScheme":"e-Rad","nameIdentifierURI":"https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/search/?qm=90549247"},{"nameIdentifier":"read0147947","nameIdentifierScheme":"researchmap","nameIdentifierURI":"http://researchmap.jp/read0147947"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"吉田, みどり"},{"creatorName":"ヨシダ, ミドリ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"YOSHIDA, Midori","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"1318","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"},{"nameIdentifier":"00355455","nameIdentifierScheme":"e-Rad","nameIdentifierURI":"https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/search/?qm=00355455"},{"nameIdentifier":"read0006040","nameIdentifierScheme":"researchmap","nameIdentifierURI":"http://researchmap.jp/read0006040"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"佐藤, 裕"},{"creatorName":"サトウ, ユタカ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"SATO, Yutaka","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2374","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"},{"nameIdentifier":"40442785","nameIdentifierScheme":"e-Rad","nameIdentifierURI":"https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/search/?qm=40442785"},{"nameIdentifier":"read0004575","nameIdentifierScheme":"researchmap","nameIdentifierURI":"http://researchmap.jp/read0004575"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-03-12"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"harc_report_No197p1-7p.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"894.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"harc_report_No197p1-7p.pdf","url":"https://repository.naro.go.jp/record/1410/files/harc_report_No197p1-7p.pdf"},"version_id":"44da0d2c-6706-4d6f-92e1-833b19b15315"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"低温処理によるテンサイ子葉への可溶性糖の蓄積","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"低温処理によるテンサイ子葉への可溶性糖の蓄積"},{"subitem_title":"Accumulation of Maltose in the Cotyledons of Sugar Beet in Response to Low Temperature","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"11","path":["153"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2019-03-22"},"publish_date":"2019-03-22","publish_status":"0","recid":"1410","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["低温処理によるテンサイ子葉への可溶性糖の蓄積"],"weko_creator_id":"11","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T15:53:29.584204+00:00"}
