Until recently, it has been considered difficult to breed rice cultivars having excellent eating quality and high field resistance to blast. In this study, we developed a simple crossing method, and selected lines with excellent eating quality and high field resistance in some crossed progenies. We developed two new rice cultivars with excellent eating quality and high field resistance. One cultivar was \"Okiniiri,\" developed in 1996, and the other was \"Churahikari,\" developed in 2003, which was more resistant to blast than Okiniiri. When we compared the blast control provided by varietal field resistance with that provided by fungicide treatments, we found that the fungicide treatments were more effective in the early stage of rice cultivation, but in the late stage, varietal field resistance became more effective. The resistance level shown by resistant varieties was more than triple that of fungicide-treated susceptible varieties, and it was especially effective in a year when blast was a serious threat. There is a possibility of cultivating highly field-resistant varieties that would not require blasticides for leaf blast. The advantages to using resistant varieties instead of chemicals in the Tohoku region were discussed.\n","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"いもち病に強く、食味が優れた水稲品種を育成するとともに、東北地域での耐病性品種による薬剤削減の経済的効果を評価した。 良食味品種はいもち耐病性 (圃場抵抗性) が劣るものが多く、食味といもち耐病性の結合は難しいと考えられてきた。本研究ではまず、交配を効率的に行う簡易交配法を開発した。次いで、様々な交配組合せを展開し、良食味でいもち耐病性系統が存在することを明らかにした。そして、良食味・いもち耐病性品種として1996年に「おきにいり」、2003年にさらにいもち耐病性が強化された「ちゅらひかり」を育成した。いもち病防除に対する品種の耐病性と薬剤防除の効果を比較すると、生育初期は薬剤防除の効果が高く、生育が進むにつれて品種の耐病性の効果が現れた。耐病性品種は弱い品種に3回以上の薬剤防除を行った効果に匹敵し、その効果はいもち病多発生年ほど大きかった。いもち耐病性品種を利用すれば、いもち病の発生程度に関わらず、少なくとも葉いもち防除が不要であると考えられた。東北地域における耐病性品種導入のメリットについて考察した。\n","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.24514/00001229","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"独立行政法人
