It was selected from the progeny of a cross Hitomebore/Ouu 338, aiming at a new cultivar with highly partial resistance to blast and excellent eating quality. \"Churahikari\" is a middle to late maturing cultivar, much like \"Hitomebore\", but the culm is shorter and lodging tolerance is higher. \"Churahikari\" has true resistance genes to blast, \"Pia, Pii \", and the partial resistance of \"Churahikari\" to leaf and panicle blasts is higher than that of \"Toyonishiki\", a cultivar classified as a high partial resistant variety in Japan. The cool weather tolerance of \"Churahikari\" during the reproductive stage is high, similar to that of \"Hitomebore\", and the seed dormancy and bacterial leaf blight resistance are moderate, respectively. When compared to \"Hitomebore\", the grain yields of \"Churahikari\" are slightly higher, the eating quality is almost the same, and the grain quality is slightly lower. Highly blast-resistant varieties such as \"Churahikari\" can be easily grown without chemicals or with minimum chemicals, so they can be used for organic farming. \"Churahikari\" is adapted to the lowland areas in the Tohoku region and the southern parts of Japan. It was released as a new recommended cultivar in Okinawa prefecture.\n","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"「ちゅらひかり」は東北農業研究センターにおいて, 食味が良い「東北143 号 (ひとめぼれ) 」といもち病に強い「奥羽338 号」を交配して, その後代より育成した粳品種である。2003 年に \"農林390 号\" として命名登録された。　出穂期と成熟期は, 育成地 (秋田県大仙市) では「ひとめぼれ」に近い \"中生の晩\" に属する。「ひとめぼれ」より稈長が短く, 倒伏に強い。いもち病真性抵抗性遺伝子 \"Pia, Pii\" を有すると推定され, 圃場抵抗性は葉いもち, 穂いもちとも, 抵抗性が強い代表品種である「トヨニシキ」より強い \"極強\" である。耐冷性は「ひとめぼれ」と同等の \"極強\" で, 穂発芽性は \"中\" , 白葉枯病抵抗性は \"中\" である。玄米収量は「ひとめぼれ」よりもやや多い。炊飯米の食味は「ひとめぼれ」に匹敵する \"上中\" で, 玄米品質は「ひとめぼれ」よりやや劣る \"上下\" である。　本品種はいもち病に強いため, 減農薬栽培や有機栽培に適している。栽培適地は東北地域中部以南の平坦地である。沖縄県で, いもち病と倒伏が問題となっている「ひとめぼれ」の一部に替えて普及を図ることとして,
