I. Vavilov (N. I. Vavilov, 1980 : A. C. Zeven and P. M. Zhukovsky, 1975). The exploration for fruit tree and nut germplasm in Central Asia including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tadzhikistan, was organized in collaboration with Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (VIR). We collected 154 samples belonging to 16 genera from August to September, 1992, and 30 samples were distributed by Uzbekistan Research Institute of Plant Industry.
