I-7. 国内の在来カキ樹の収集 1988年，果樹試安芸津支場 Exploration for collecting Diospyros kaki Thunb. in Japan 1988. 山田, 昌彦 ヤマダ, マサヒコ YAMADA, Masahiko 吉永, 勝一 ヨシナガ, カツイチ YOSHINAGA, Katsuichi 山根, 弘康 ヤマネ, ヒロヤス YAMANE, Hiroyasu 小澤, 俊治 オザワ, トシハル OZAWA, Toshiharu Exploration for collecting native varieties of Japanese persimmon, Diospyros kaki Thunb., scattered all over the country, was conducted in cooperation with many prefectural agricultural experiment stations. Pollination constant non-astringent (PCNA) varieties are the most important for genetic resources of our breeding program. But, their varietal advancement is very poor and the native area of them is restricted to Tokai and Kinki Districts. Then, Gifu and Nara Prefectures which are central regions of the varietal development of PCNA, were explored. Three varieties of PCNA presumed as ones which have never been collected in Akitsu Branch yet, were collected. For the identification of them, it is needed to estimate their fruit and tree habits in cultivation. Some relative varieties to PCNA were found and collected, too. Some varieties with male flowers of early flowering time, which are important for the pollinizer of "Nishimurawase", were found and collected. Varieties with large fruit of early ripening time and having fruit of high quality were explored and collected all over the country. In conclusion, 42 varieties were collected as scions and top-grafted to mature trees in Akitsu Branch, Fruit Tree Research Station.
