I-8. 東海近畿地方のナス在来種の収集 野菜・茶試, 1988年 Collection of local varieties of eggplant in the Tokai and Kinki districts. 門馬, 信二 モンマ, シンジ MONMA, Shinji 坂田, 好輝 サカタ, ヨシテル SAKATA, Yoshiteru Eggplant has been cultivated for more than one thousand years and differentiated into various local varieties in Japan. But these local varieties are disappearing rapidly because of the introduction of hybrid varieties. This study was conducted to collect and conserve the local varieties of eggpant in some places of the Tokai and Kinki districts. Twenty-four lines of fifteen local varieties were collected.
