We have developed a stirring cleaning method to remediate radioactive cesium (Cs)-contaminated paddy fields. It was comprised of 1) adding water and a dispersive material to the field and stirring water and soil; 2) Drinage of soil suspension in, which containing much amount of radioactive Cs rich soil micro particles; and 3) on-site treatment of wastewater using a portable treatment system. After the decontamination, the decrease rates of ^<137>Cs in soil and brown rice were 62% and 58%, respectively.
